Over the course of my 30 years as a photographer, I’ve worked on every continent and in hundreds of locations. My images interpret and record the world’s fast-disappearing wildlife, landscapes, and native cultures, and they’ve been recognized throughout the world for their mastery of color, composition, and perspective.
I’ve taken more than one million images in my life and have released more than 60 books. Graphis included my books Light on the Land and the controversial Migrations on its list of the 100 best books published in the 1990s.
In May 2007 I made my public television debut with the high-definition series Art Wolfe’s Travels to the Edge, an intimate and upbeat series that offers unique insights on nature, culture, and digital photography. The first season garnered American Public Television’s 2007 Programming Excellence Award and was seen by 33 million viewers.
