Great article.Darius is right personal, on-demand publishing is really going main stream. I am working with Rick Smolan, to help raise awareness of his new book, The Obama Time Capsule, which chronicles the Obama road to the presidency. http://www.theobamatimecapsule.com/?ref=lb

This is a main stream book sold at Amazon.com, but each copy is printed on-demand as it allows the purchaser to incorporate themselves into the story. Individuals can upload their own photos of their participation in the campaign and then each book is printed and delivered.

This is the future of publishing as it cuts down on waste and allows for the combination of professional and consumer content. It is amazing.

You should check it out http://www.theobamatimecapsule.com/?ref=lb
